Drama Group

Welcome to the home page of the Drama Group.

The drama group had their first meeting of the new season at Jenny´s. This was very successful with the new programme being put into operation for the next six months. We had a stall at the farmers´ market on the 18^th (September) to raise funds to help pay back the loan for the sound equipment – this proved to be very successful with over 150 euros being raised. Thanks to all those who gave a hand. We will be having a social event ´Posh Nosh Night´- information to be given to the membership later. The group performed some readings (humorous) in conjunction with the carol concert by the choir at the December meeting of 4^th December and  subsequently perform a couple of short plays at the Chiringuito party on 5^th December.

Our programme for 2008 is under discussion with a view to performing a one-act play at the March meeting, and another meeting has been arranged to choose a programme. This will have taken place by the time you read this newsletter, but, If anybody is interested in joining us in any capacity for future performances they will be made very welcome. We need bodies to help with,makeup, staging, prompting , costumes etc., you don´t necessarily need to want to tread the boards!!
