Fifteen of us gathered for the October walk, the group was a nice mix of familiar faces and newcomers. Most of the Valle walks are circular in fashion but this one required a little more organisation and required that several vehicles be left at the finishing point in order to transfer us back to the start!

We set off from the Los Romanes road in good walking weather - sunny but not too hot - and made our way up the track at the side of the urbanisation. This track winds its way up the side of the hill until it meets the track which follows the line of the ridge.

Once we reached the ridge we followed the track southeast past La Dehesa and on toward the Atalaya which is visible for many miles around.
Once at the Atalaya we paused briefly before setting off again.

Our next stop was at the Buddhist temple before starting the downhill trek to Trapiche.

Once at the restaurant we were joined by some additional Valle members before settling down to a relaxing and very enjoyable Menu del Dia.

All in all a very enjoyable walk and our thanks go to Anne and Peter for arranging it.
