On an overcast and, surprisingly, humid evening fifteen walkers met up at Meson Sara. From there we walked westwards along the A-7204 Periana road and were, for probably the first time in the history of the walks, held up by roadworks!

 Having made our way past the somewhat bemused workers, we continued to the river bridge where we turned North onto the tracks. We then made our way steadily upwards towards the castillo.

Once at the castillo we stopped for a quick photo shoot -

before walking down to Venta Baja and back to Meson Sara. All in all a relaxed walk followed by a meal at Venta la Viña in Viñuela.
