Chilches to El Palo

| On an overcast and not too
promising morning, 17 hardy (or should that be foolhardy?) souls met up at Meson
Sara and travelled down to the beach at Chilches. |

Once there we set off on our
walk to the Wok Restaurant on the outskirts of Malaga. For the first part of our
walk the weather was less than kind with frequent and often heavy showers. This
at least had the advantage of showing off a variety of wet weather gear - who
else but the English would walk with umbrellas? |
| We arrived at our coffee spot
at Rincon only to find that it was not open and so we settled for the terrace of
a nearby 4-star hotel! What they thought of the mottly and damp group who
descended on them I do not know, but the coffee was warming and most welcome!
However, I'm not sure what the staff would have said if they had known that
several of our female members were using the hot-air dryers in the ladies to dry
off some of their clothing - underwear included!! (Sorry folks but no
photos....). |

When we left the coffee spot
the weather improved and the remainder of our walk was in warm, albeit cloudy
conditions. |
| By the time that we reached The
Wok most of us had dried out! We immediately tucked into the "help
yourselves to as much as you want" meal and washed it down with a couple of
drinks. |

|
After our meal most of us
returned to Chilches by bus or taxi but three of our number were determined to
walk back! Anne, Elaine & Stewart - I salute you! (That is what I was doing
when we went by you on the bus by the way!).
Michael.
