El Valle Summer Ball

The El Valle Summer Ball was held at the Jardin del Trapiche on Friday 20th June 2008. 

After a few panics by the social committee (would the entertainment turn up and had the venue got all the menus correct?) everyone met up at the lovely venue of Jardin del Trapiche on a glorious June evening for the association Summer Ball.
Promptly at 8pm the drinks were served on the lawn area with some delicious canapes which everyone seemed to enjoy. We were then entertained by an air display from the Axarquia aerodrome before going in for dinner!!
We had a few problems with the pork dish, since then we've received another apology and explanation that their very expensive oven system had malfunctioned, but apart from that I think nearly everyone enjoyed their meal. The drinks certainly flowed very well and the half hour free bar was gratefully accepted as compensation for their previous mistakes.
We had the disco music as background while we ate and then were very well entertained by a really good singer who soon got everyone dancing. The disco then finished up the night until we all left.
I'd like to thank everyone who worked hard to put on such a good evening and are always there to listen to my panics especially Linda Kemp who was so involved with it all including the raffle and to Mike Hickman who we really need when it comes to anything that involves the computer and printing.
We hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as we did and that you have made a note in your diaries for the Xmas dinner on the 12th December at Hotel Vinuela.
